DAY 1 After crossing the mountains
through pine tree forests we arrive in Cholula
(80 miles from Mexico City, 2.5 hours aprox.), a
town with an impressive church on top of a pyramid
and its extraordinary XVI Century chapel. On a clear
day you might have the view of the immense Popo
volcano (17,800 ft).
Then we lead to Puebla, the proud
state capital, to visit its magnificent Cathedral
and baroque altarpieces. Overnight in Puebla, which
offers excellent boutique hotels.
DAY 2 A guided
walking tour to Puebla's rich Hispanic baroque and
French architectural heritage: the Palafox
library, rich convents, the impressive Amparo
Museum collection, and charming period mansions.

antiques, and original shops. Puebla is one of the
finest cities in Mexico and declared a world
heritage site by UNESCO. 2.5-hour drive back to
Mexico City.
